Nobles and Ladies,

Greetings from the hot and humid state of Alabama! Your Potentate has had to travel to Huntsville to be re certified for the job I perform for the Police Department. Let me tell you it was not an easy task but I made it, and I can now continue for three more years.

Back to Temple business. We had a great Memorial Service for our departed Nobles with over 65 people in attendance. It was a great day and the families of our Nobles were comforted by our Service. Great job, Walter Simon and his lady Adelle, plus the entire committee and my Chief Raban all stepped up and hit a home run.

Our Membership Chairman, Rick Hall, has been busy getting new members from the Shriners Village network. Some of them will go to our Temple, others will go to jurisdictions in the areas in which they reside.

Our Public Relations Chairman Steven Orr has just returned from his training seminar at Tampa headquarters and has briefed the Board on the new programs they have in place. This will be discussed at the next membership meeting. The Temple also participated in the Rockville parade for Memorial Day with great crowds cheering them along. Almas was a huge crowd pleaser. Thanks to all who participated in this annual event.

The Peruvian Club had their horse show in Warrenton,VA and it also was a great event with many Nobles in attendance, and a good time had by all.

Let’s not forget the Potentate’s 2010 trip to Cancun along with the Grand Lodge of DC. What a time we had, the beaches were beautiful and the food was out of this world. There was plenty of it and the best thing it was all included. I know for a fact everyone enjoyed themselves on this fantastic adventure.

Well, summer is here and the temperatures are rising. Don’t forget our Imperial Session in Toronto in July, and of course the MASSA convention in Virginia Beach in September. Make sure you get your rooms booked thru the Office -- cut off is very soon! We are staying in a new hotel this time and it should be very nice.

Well, I still have to unpack the suitcases from our trip to Cancun, and all I can say is, boy, did the First Lady buy a lot of stuff!!!! I had to buy another suitcase to bring it all home.

Again I want to thank all the Staff and Nobles and of course my First Lady Teresa for all the support you have given me throughout the year. I could not have done it thus far without all of you.
